Secure Elements Selected by Wide Area Management Services for their Managed Security Services Offering
Carrier-class service provider implements C5 Enterprise Vulnerability Management Suite for new security and compliance service offering

HERNDON, VA - Nov 1, 2005 -Secure Elements, Inc., the leader in enterprise vulnerability management and compliance risk reduction solutions, announced today that Wide Area Management Solutions (WAMS) has selected and begun implementing the C5 Enterprise Vulnerability Management (EVM) platform in order to deliver a best-of-breed managed security and compliance offering to their enterprise clients.

"WAMS is one of the few VARs in the US to offer carrier class monitoring and management of networks," says Tom Shaw, president and co-founder of WAMS.  "Our clients have asked that we add services to manage and protect their most critical IT assets, their core systems inside the enterprise networks, and the C5 EVM suite provides the vulnerability management and compliance platform that we can rely on."

With more than a decades experience managing thousands of circuits through their NOC, WAMS offers round-the-clock monitoring, trouble ticket management, help desk services, managed network and security services, as well as security and network threat assessments.  WAMS represents the needs of customers working with technologies developed by AT&T, Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, Sonic Wall, and RSA Security among others. Their professional service and engineering teams are experts at LAN/WAN internetworking, hybrid network designs for IP/Video, deploying enterprise-class network infrastructures, designing enterprise-wide security programs, and deploying industry leading security products.

"C5 EVM enables service providers to create new offerings to manage systems inside the enterprises firewall, so that critical servers, databases, and business services can be monitored and protected from cyber threats," said Scott Armstrong, vice president of marketing and alliances.  "This provides an enterprise the opportunity to out source the management of their systems in accordance with regulatory compliance mandates such as SOX, HIPAA, and GLBA, making cost effective and reliable IT governance a reality."
