Secure Elements Wins Multiple Government Computer Security Contracts
Leader in vulnerability and compliance management wins multiple Federal contracts from agencies such as NOAA

HERNDON, VA - Oct 6, 2005 - Secure Elements, Inc., the leader in enterprise vulnerability management and compliance risk reduction solutions, announced today that its C5 Enterprise Vulnerability Management (EVM) suite has been selected to secure several U.S. Government agency networks against cyber-terrorism, mal-ware, and other security threats.

Through an enterprise license program and multi-year contract, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) will use the C5 EVM suite to perform vulnerability management and security compliance enforcement for each of its approximately 340 major network systems in offices around the U.S.  NOAA's networks are vital to providing users with critical data, information, and services used in weather forecasts and warnings.  NOAA is also the lead science and research agency for atmospheric and ocean modeling.

"These enterprise licensing programs are the most effective way for large government agencies to efficiently protect their enterprise networks from vulnerabilities, compliance risk exposures, and policy violations," said William Welch, vice president of sales at Secure Elements.  "They need to ensure 100% of their networks are monitored and that their security policies are enforced, otherwise their missions may be compromised.  An enterprise license program ensures this capability, and eliminates the problems of a fragmented security approach."

Several other agencies responsible for national and homeland security, with unique requirements for securing their disconnected infrastructure from emerging cyber-threats, also have selected the C5 EVM suite for monitoring, hardening, and protecting their computing assets.  The C5 Active Protection Technologies delivered as part of the suite provide an unprecedented level of control and protection while enabling a level of situational awareness that can only be provided by Secure Elements.

"Our unique ability to protect our nations most critical computing assets, even when they are on disconnected environments such as NIPRNet and SIPRNet, demonstrates our value across all sectors of government," said Scott Armstrong, vice president of marketing and product management.  "This value proposition is even stronger for the commercial markets as well.  Recent wins include companies from regulated sectors such as energy and utilities, financial services, and service providers that must comply with HIPAA or Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Requirements."
