Position: Sales Engineer
Responsibilities
Work with the sales team in a pre-sales role to develop and position Secure Elements' solutions. During the qualifying process, work diligently to confirm that SE solutions meet the customers requirements and assist sales in technical qualification. Throughout the proposal process, work to strategize with the account team on objectives for customer meetings. The ideal candidate must be able to inspire confidence with the customer by driving technical presentations and leading discussions to gather the right requirements to design solutions that best fits the customer. Influence customers technical requirements and position products relative to the competition. Responsible for most of the technical aspects of the proposal development. Responsible for the technical management of and technical issues involving the account
Areas of Knowledge
Compliance and Vulnerability Management, Patch Management, File/System Integrity Checking.
Requirements
Five years experience in technical pre-sales and/or system administration. 2 or more years in Information Security. PREFERRED PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS: SANS, CISSP,CNE, MCSE. Demonstrated communication skills, (verbal, written and interpersonal). Preferred Industry Experience may vary according to Position: Public Sector, DOD, Finance/Banking, Manufacturing, Chemical, Utilities.
Excellent knowledge off security tools including patch management software, vulnerability scanners, Linux, Windows, and Unix.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated project management skills to assist initially with building a product then transition to the selling of it. Programming proficiency as required for prototype development and product demonstrations. Ability to relate technical concepts to Secure Elements and user needs. Ability to work and learn independently. Ability to travel on a frequent basis
Other Skills (Preferences)
Analyze needs of the sales team to create supporting documentation and sales tools to better equip the team in the sales process. Must have proficient knowledge of cutting edge Enterprise Security products and services to educate the sales force on security products, features and benefits.
Educational/Experience Requirements
Bachelors degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science, or other related field to the area of assignment.
